Whether you're a seasoned player or just learning, our mission is to create a FUN, welcoming community where meaningful connections, lasting friendships, and memories are made that extend far beyond the table. From social play to Mahjong 101 and 102 classes, we're bringing people together throughout the Lake Nona and Central Florida area one game at a time...and we'd love for you to pull up a chair!

Open Play @ 407 Cafe in Lake Nona
Already know the basics? Join us for three hours of relaxed, social American Mahjong. Come with friends or come on your own—we'll help get players seated and ready to play. Open Play is for players who have learned the game and are comfortable playing without instruction. All Mahjong sets and supplies will be provided. Please bring your own NMJL 2026 card. If you don't have one, there will be an opportunity to buy a card at the event for $10.

Mahjong 101
New to American mahjong?! Our 3-hour, small-group beginner class is designed to take you from brand new to being able to at least play a guided game. The fee includes instruction, use of all Mahjong sets and supplies, and guided hands-on practice.
Never Played Before or need a refresher?
No problem! We'll help get you started.
American mahjong is easier to learn than you think — and far more fun once it starts to click. Our Mahjong 101 sessions are designed for beginners, with patient instruction, small groups, and plenty of hands-on practice.
These classes are hands on with assistance every step of the way.
